As was customary at other courts, works acquired from elsewhere, in the form of a full score or set of basis parts, were provided with parts by local Bonn copyists. Therefore, in any given manuscript, especially those used often, multiple hands from different locations at different points in time can be seen. The database records information on all copyists for each manuscript, whereas the Bonn copyists (as determined by the use of locally available paper) are fully searchable and interlinked.
